A laptop on a wooden desk displays a video call with a man and a cat. The man is smiling and the cat is sitting in front of the camera. Nearby, there is a tablet, a stethoscope, a cup of coffee, a notepad, and a pen, with sunlight coming through windows in the background.

Telehealth Consultations

Expert advice for the journey ahead, from the comfort of your home.

Navigating a complex diagnosis or the final stages of your pet’s life can feel overwhelming. At Hills Mobile Vet, our telehealth consultations are designed to provide the clarity, emotional support, and expert guidance you need when a physical visit isn't immediately possible or necessary.

What We Cover in a Telehealth Session:

  • Reviewing blood test results

  • Post-treatment rechecks

  • Skin lesions or wounds

  • Behaviour advice

  • Nutrition questions

  • Medication side-effects

  • Second opinions

  • Quality-of-life discussions

Telehealth is NOT appropriate if your pet:

  • is struggling to breathe

  • has collapsed or has seizures

  • has uncontrolled bleeding

  • has severe pain

  • may have eaten toxins

  • has severe vomiting or diarrhoea

Important Information & Disclaimer

Due to NSW veterinary licensing regulations, telehealth consultations are advisory in nature and not all conditions can be diagnosed without a physical examination.

To prescribe new medications or provide a formal medical diagnosis, a Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) must be established through a physical examination. While we can provide expert support via telehealth, we cannot issue new prescriptions without having met and examined your pet in person.

If your pet requires immediate medical intervention or medication, we recommend booking an in-home visit.

Consultations can be conducted by video call or via phone depending on your needs and preference.

Telehealth consults start at $65 (15–20 minutes)
